Back to life!

I apologize for the slow down of content here...I've been slacking in a lot of areas for the past few months. Social networking sites, my team guilds, and even beading have all taken a backseat to other priorities in my life. Specifically, I have been studying for the LEED exam, to become a LEED Accredited Profesional, or a LEED AP. LEED stands for Leadership In Energy and Environmental Design. It is a rating system designed to award a level of certification (certified, silver, gold, and platinum) to "green" buildings who show a commitment to sustainable design, and a reduced environmental impact on the earth.
The exam was very memory intensive, and not easy to pass. Yesterday was my second time taking it actually. My husband told me to think of the first try as a "recon mission", lol.
The certification is awarded by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). If you're interested in learning more about LEED, you can visit the USGBC's website.
Soon, I promise that we'll be getting back to our semi-regular programming, as I get back to my life respectively. There's even a giveaway in store for you - so check back in a few days for your chance to win.
Finally, time for beading and hooping and whatever else I want to spend my weekend doing. Yay!!

More of us are getting LEED certified as more regulations are ironed out. I received my certification from Clean Edison and it's helped me in my design firm. More and more of my clients were interested in green homes so I had to jump on board.
